Our Story

It started with a love of flowers.

A Love of Flowers, Grown Over Time

Long before there was Rabbit Hill, there were flowers.

My love of flowers began early, nurtured by my mother and grandmother. Growing up, I raised flowers in our greenhouse, and every year my little brother and I loaded them into a wagon and sold them to our neighbors.

That childhood love never really left me. I went on to study horticulture in college, but life grew in other wonderful directions too. My husband and I raised our three children, and years later, when it was time to choose where we wanted to spend our next chapter, we found ourselves drawn to Silverton—to be closer to our children and grandchild.

Then We Found Rabbit Hill

We saw what it was—and what it could become.

After years of looking, we finally found our little farm in Silverton. We fell in love with the views and could see the incredible potential of the property almost immediately.

There was just one small problem: it was a mess.

Thigh-high blackberries, weeds and brambles had taken over, and the old 1880s barn was quite literally falling down. For nearly three years, my husband and I have been slowly bringing the property back to life—clearing, planting, rebuilding the barn and building our dream home along the way.

It’s still a work in progress. In many ways, Rabbit Hill is growing right alongside the gardens.

A Place for a Little More Joy

Some things are simply better when shared.

Somewhere along the way, we realized we didn’t want to keep all of this beauty just for ourselves.

Flowers have brought joy to my life for as long as I can remember, and Rabbit Hill has given us a place to grow more of them than ever before. Opening the farm is our way of sharing a little of that joy—giving people a place to wander through the flowers, gather a bouquet, bring a picnic, and simply enjoy being here.

We hope Rabbit Hill becomes the kind of place where you can slow down, notice the little things, and stay a little longer than you planned.
